Kitchen and bath finishes. We install the cabinetry, countertops, tile, flooring and paint that make a kitchen or bathroom look finished. Plumbing and electrical in those rooms are performed by licensed trades — see below.
Most outfits let you discover the limits of their scope halfway through a job. We put ours in writing before you sign anything.
We do not hold a Florida general, building or residential contractor licence, we do not represent ourselves as available to act in the capacity of a contractor, and we do not perform work requiring such licensure.
Excluded from our scope at any dollar value: structural work of any kind — load-bearing walls, foundations, framing, beams and headers; roofing, including patching and tile re-set; electrical; plumbing; mechanical and HVAC; gas piping; fire protection; pools and spas; solar; elevators; windows and exterior doors; and any work altering the building envelope in the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone.
Where work like that is needed, it goes to an appropriately licensed party under a separate agreement — and we will tell you on site, not after the invoice.
Interior remodeling is offered where it is non-structural. If a wall turns out to be load-bearing, a header changes, or a slab needs cutting, that portion leaves our scope. We stop and say so rather than proceed.
